Everest Base Camp Trek Permit Cost
Trekking to the Everest region you need two permits for each trekker, as well as include to explore Everest High Passes Trek, Gokyo Lake, and Everest Base Camp via Kala Patthar. 1. Sagarmatha National Park Permit

2. Khumbu Rural Municipality Permit
This Khumbu Rural Municipality Permit is a new permit, it was opening on the 1st of October 2018, the Local government of Khumbu directly collect USA 20 or NPR 2000 (less than four weeks) and USA 25 or NPR 2,500 (more than four weeks each foreigner. Note in your mind, you don't found this Khumbu Rural Municipality Permit in Kathmandu valley, if you trek from Lukla you can obtain this is Lukla, or from Jiri or Salleri this can be obtained in Monjo village.
Jiri/Phaplu to Everest Base Camp Trek Permit Cost
If you are planning to trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp with Kala Patthar you need to get an additional permit to enter the Gaurishankar Conservation Area, this additional permit will be USD 30 or NPR 3000 per person. As you can get this additional permit at Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu.////

Trekkers Information Management Card (TIMS) is also necessary for Everest Base Camp Trekking. This TIMS could obtain in Nepal Tourism Board, or if you join with a local agent then the agent will manage every necessary paper for you. The next option, you can get a TIMS card in Lukla.

Everest Region Trekking Permit for Children
The Everest Base Camp Trek permit is dependent on the age of the children, like under 10 years children do not need to buy Permit, and over than 10 years trekkers need permit and TIMS as well as TIMS and Permit Cost also are same. Everest Treks are a difficult and adventure route in Nepal, therefore your children have to be physically and mentally able to handle the trek.
Required documents for trekking permits
Don't forget to carry your passport and passport size photos during the Everest Base Camp Trekking because before entering the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality and Sagarmatha National Park you should give your passport details. For Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project Entry Permit you have needed 2 photos and fill up a short form to obtain the permit.

Everest Base Camp Trek Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory to have to join an adventurous trip in the Himalayas. It is for your safety. The travel insurance must cover things like illness, medical emergencies, accidents, death, trip cancellation, and loss of personal baggage & items. All costs for Emergency Evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay all the costs on your behalf. Make sure that your travel insurance covers activities in the Himalayas if you are participating in them.
*Note: Foreigners are not allowed to purchase an insurance policy in Nepal. So make sure to purchase good travel insurance in your country, and it is your responsibility to check whether your insurance policy is adequate or not.
Everest Base Camp Trek Accommodation
Everest Base Camp Trek accommodations are Lodge and Teahouse. Around Kathmandu, we can find a good facility with comfortable accommodation at the Hotel. At the Everest Base Camp Trek, all accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. During the trek, Himalayan frozen Adventure will manage a room with attached washrooms. In the teahouse, we have to share the toilet. A single room is available in Kathmandu and the lower elevation trekking region but might be impossible for higher elevations.
Everest Base Camp Trek Meals
Kathmandu has included only breakfast. During the Everest Base Camp Trek, all meals will be provided. In the Everest region, we can enjoy Nepalese food with international cuisine like Tibetan, Continental, Indian, Tibetan, Italian, etc. Through the trek, we have breakfast/lunch at the teahouse and Dinner will be at the lodge. You can choices different kinds of breakfast, lunch, and dinner by the menu.
Lukla Flight
Notices: (Weather in the Himalayan region which may change any at times. (Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu) flight a few hours may be late or one, two, or more days may be canceled for bad weather reasons. This kind of condition we have to waits a long time for Lukla flight. This can happen either at the start or end of the trek. This kind of problem we also organize helicopter rescue, the helicopter charge will around USD 3400 where includes 4-5 people per flight. We suggest you; if possible (1-2) extra days manage for this trekking).
