Itinerary
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu
You arrive at the airport, where one of our team members will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. You will check in at the hotel and get a small briefing regarding the day program. Later, in the late evening, you will meet with other team members over a welcome dinner and stroll on the vibrant streets of Thamel.
Day 02:Sightseeing and trek preparation
You wake up and have a delicious breakfast. You will then go on a guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath, Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. All of these places will show you Nepali art, architecture, and history. In the afternoon, you meet with the trek guide, and he will brief you about the trail. You then arrange all the gear and necessary documents for trekking with your guide.
Day 03:Drive from Kathmandu to Syange [1100m, 9-10 hours]
You will drive to Syange early in the morning. The drive will be long and scenic. You get to see beautiful views of lush green hills, rivers, terraced farms, and small villages.
Day 04:Trek from Syange to Dharapani [1960m, 7-8 hours]
Leaving Syange behind, the trail crosses a large bridge and takes you to Tal village. You then trek through fields of rice, barley, and potatoes. Further, passing through beautiful waterfalls, you reach Kodo village and continue walking toward Dharapani.
Day 05:Dharapani to Chame [2710m, 5-6 hours]
The trail steeply ascends through forested ridges. Passing by several landslide-prone areas, you reach Chame. The trail offers wonderful views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal.
Day 06:Chame to Pisang [3300m, 5-6 hours]
Following a steep and narrow valley trail, you head towards Pisang village located at the foot of Pisang Peak. On the way, you get to see the huge Paungda Danda rock face, which is rising 1,500 meters from a river. The trail then descends to Pisang offering superb views of Annapurna South and Pisang Peak.
Day 07:Pisang to Manang [3500m, 6-7 hours]
You begin trekking following the Upper Pisang route. The trail ascends and leads you to Geru. During trekking, you get to see stunning views of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and other surrounding mountains. The trail will soon get dry and cold as you will be approaching Manang.
Day 08:Acclimatization day at Manang
Today, you will spend the day exploring Manang village. It is a beautiful village with many ancient stupas and monasteries. You can go on short hikes to Bhojo Gumba, Braga village, or Gangapurna Lake as well. This rest day will help us to acclimatize to the altitude.
Day 09:Manang to Siri Kharka [4060m, 4-5 hours]
Moving out of the western gates, you descend to a river. Crossing the river, you trek through the lush coniferous forest and reach Khangsar village. From here, the trail ascends to Siri Kharka passing by an old monastery on the way. You get to see superb views of Mt. Chulu and Gungang Himal on the way.
Day 10:Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp [4140m, 5-6 hours]
Leaving Siri Kharka behind, you ascend to the Tilicho Base Camp. The trail will be steep and rugged. You will walk on narrow loose scree and pass by landslide areas before reaching the base camp.
Day 11:Visit Tilicho Lake [4,949m/16,138 ft] then back to Siri Kharka [4060m, 5-6 hours]
You will wake up early in the morning and ascend on a moraine & move along the hillside. While trekking, you get to see fantastic views of Mt. Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, and many other Himalayan mountains. The trail will take you to Tilicho Lake where you will see breathtaking views. After spending some time at the lake, you drop down to Siri Kharka for a night's stay.
Day 12:Siri kharka to Yak kharka [4040m, 4-5 hours]
The trail descends through Khangsar village and passes by Tare Gumba, which is believed to be a thousand-year-old monastery. From Khangsar village, you cross a bridge over Thorang Khola valley and ascend to a plateau. The trail from here will take you to Yak Kharka for a night stay.
Day 13:Yak kharka to Thorong Phedi [4420m, 3-4 hours]
From Yak Kharka, you ascend and cross a suspension bridge to reach Ledar. Further, the trail moves up through cliffs and reaches Thorang Phedi. On the way, you get to see excellent views of Thorong Peak, Mt. Syagang, Mt. Khatungkan, and Mt. Gundang.
Day 14:Thorong Phedi to Thorong La pass [5,416m/17,764ft] to Muktinath [3800m, 7-8 hours]
Today, the day begins early. You will be crossing the challenging Thorong La Pass. From Thorong Phedi, the trail ascends through a steep and rugged path. Upon reaching Thorong La Pass, you get to see outstanding landscape views. Further, the trail descends to Muktinath Temple, which is a very famous pilgrimage site in Nepal.
Day 15:Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani [1200m, 6-7 hours]
From Muktinath, you drive to Tatopani. The drive offers excellent views of peaks and small villages. Upon reaching Tatopani, you get to spend time in the natural hot spring.
Day 16:Tatopani to Ghorepani [2850m, 7-8 hours]
After having breakfast, you will be trekking towards Chittre. The trail will be scenic and passes by small settlements and forests. The trail then ascends to Ghorepani through beautiful forests of rhododendron. The trail will offer you lovely views of Annapurna range, Lamjung Himal, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, and several other mountains. Ghorepani is a picturesque village resided by Gurung and Magar people.
Day 17:Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani [2700m, 6-7 hours]
You will wake up early in the morning and go on a short hike to Poon Hill. Upon reaching Poon Hill, you will get to witness gorgeous sunrises and western Himalayan mountains. After spending some time here, you will descend to Ghorepani, have breakfast, and begin trekking towards Tadapani.
Day 18:Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara [830m, 7-8 hours] trek and [1-hour drive]
The trail descends through dense forests of rhododendrons. Passing through beautiful Ghandruk village, you further drop down to Nayapul. From here, you drive back to Pokhara. The rest of the day is leisure.
Day 19:Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu [1300m, 7-8 hours]
Today, you will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. It will be a long scenic drive. After reaching Kathmandu, you head to the hotel. You will have the remaining day to you. You can visit monuments and do shopping. In the evening, you meet other team members over the farewell dinner.
Day 20:Final departure
You will fly back to your home. One of our team representatives will take you to the airport as per your flight departure time.
