Annapurna Circuit Trek Route
Kathmandu Valley is starting and ending points of the Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary. After visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu you will take the drive to Shayan via Besishar. The trail goes along the river and passes the green paddy field with local villages. Enjoying the several waterfalls, many Chorten, prayer flags, stone walls, mani walls, and ancient monasteries, you walk through the beautiful cultural villages of Timang, Dhikurpokhari, Chame, Pisang, and Manang. The next day you go to the magical landscape zone of Yak Kharka and Thorong Phedi, then you climb the challenging test of Thorong La Pass (5,416m). The trek descends a holy place for both Hindus as well as Buddhists, Muktinath Temple. From Muktinath, you walk 6 to 7 hours to Jomsom, from where you take a scenic mountain flight to Kathmandu via Pokhara.
Annapurna Circuit Trek Details Itinerary
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal
As you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get greeted by the representative of Himalayan Frozen Adventure. He/she will take you to the hotel that we have already booked for you in the advance. You get informed about the evening plan with some spare time to relax.
To welcome you, the company has organized a traditional welcome dinner along with cultural dance. You will meet with other team members over dinner and end the day with lots of laughter.
Day 02:Drive from Kathmandu to Besishar 845m - 7 hrs
Today is the first day of this 14 day Annapurna circuit trek, after having breakfast, you'll take a long and scenic drive to Besishar. During the drive, you leave Kathmandu valley and go through the picturesque Trishuli river, green forest terrace farms, and hill. After 7 hours of drive, you'll reach the large bazaar Besisahar, where you spend your overnight at trekking lodge.
Day 03:Drive from Besishar to Shayan and trek to Jagat 1,300m - 6 hrs
After having breakfast, you take a short drive to Shaya and trekking begins towards Jagat. The trail follows terraced fields, fertile jungle, and walks along the Marsyangdi River. Likewise, you'll cross various long suspension bridges and enjoy seeing beautiful landscapes with mountain peaks. After passing several rural settlements you reach the peaceful village of Jagat. Overnight stay at Jagat trekking lodge.
Day 04:Trek from Jagat to Dharapani 1,860m - 5 hrs
Leaving Jagat behind, you will head towards Dharapani. The trail will move along small villages like Chyamje, Tal, and Karte along with dense forests. Likewise, you get to see wonderful views of the Annapurna range on the way. Before reaching Dharapani, you cross a beautiful waterfall and suspension bridge.
Day 05:Trek from Dharapani to Chame 2,610m - 6 hrs
Today, you will trek on a rugged path and ascend to Tyanja (2,360 m). Further, trekking through dense forest, you will reach Kopar (2,950 m). From here onwards, you will trek through the conifer forest and reach Chame. Upon reaching Chame, you will get to see amazing views of Annapurna II.
Day 06:Trek from Chame to Pisang 3,115m - 6 hrs
After breakfast, Following a steep and narrow valley trail, you head towards Pisang village located at the foot of Pisang Peak. On the way, you get to see the huge Paungda Danda rock face, which is rising 1,500 meters from a river. The trail then descends to Pisang offering superb views of Annapurna South and Pisang Peak. Pisang village is scenic, where you stay today overnight.
Day 07:Trek from Pisang to Manang 3,540m - 6 hrs
After having a sweet breakfast, you will come across two routes in the north and south that will take you to Manang. The route that goes to the south involves less climbing, however, the views are much better on the route north. Trekking along with one of the paths, you will reach Mungji and ascend through Bryanga (3,475). A short walk from here will take you to Manang, which is the lovely valley of trekkers.
Day 08:Rest and Acclimatization day at Manang
Today you have acclimatization to visit the side hike of Manang and make altitude fitness for the high pass. There are two amazing lakes Gangapurna Lake and Ice lake. Similarly, you can explore the ancient monasteries, Manang village, and enjoy an amazing view of Mt. Annapurna range, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, etc. Overnight you stay at the same trekking lodge.
Day 09:Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4,050m - 5 hrs
After having breakfast at Manang, the trek head toward Yak Kharka. You cross the Manang Khola then ascend to Tenki village. Likewise, you walk through the Marshyangdi valley to Gunsan village, where you will get to see beautiful scenery and snow-capped mountain views. There you'll see some meadows full of yaks and horses grazing around, it's called Yak Kharka. Overnight stay at Yak Kharka Trekking lodge.
Day 10:Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi 4,525m - 5 hrs
After having breakfast, you go to the lap of Thorong La Pass, Throng Phedi. On the way, you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and wonderful mountain peaks, then crosses the Marsyangdi river bridge and walk through ascent to narrow trail of the mountain path, then you reach Thorong Phedi. Overnight you stay at a trekking lodge.
Day 11:Trek from Thorong Phedi to Thorong La Pass 5,416m and trek to Muktinath 3,760m/8-9 hrs
Today is the most excited and challenging part of this trek. Because you are going to cross the world's highest pass Thorong La.Leaving Thorong Phedi, you will ascend on a steep path to reach the top of the Thorong La Pass. From the top, you witness the best views of the whole trek, likes; a panorama of majestic Himalayan peaks with huge glaciers and an amazing sunrise. After exploring the Pass, The trail then descends to one of the holiest temples of Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath. Then, you take a short scenic drive to Jomsom, where you stay overnight at a trekking lodge.
Day 12:Trek from Muktiunath to Jomsom 3,450m - 5/6 hrs
You wake up early and visit the temple. After that, you begin descending towards the Kali Gandaki gorge. The trail passes by a barren area and takes you to Jharkot. From here, you trek and reach Khingar village, where you get to see Tibetan architecture. Further, you trek along the bank of the Kali Gandaki river and reach Jomsom.
Day 13:Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 823m - 30 mins
You will take a morning fight back to Pokhara. During the flight, you get to see aerial views of the Annapurna Himalayas. Upon landing at Pokhara, you move to the hotel. you can rest for the day and explore the nearby tourist sites.
Day 14:Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 1300m - 7/8 hours
After a delicious breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu. The drive will be long and scenic. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you head to the hotel. Rest of the day of leisure for you to explore and do shopping. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner with all the team members.
Day 15:Final departure
You will fly back to your home. One of our team representatives will take you to the airport as per your flight departure time.
Notices
Himalayan Frozen Adventure will fully support your whole trip. Sometimes come these kinds of the problem; Weather conditions, the health condition of a group member, and unexpected natural disasters. These conditions we make extra or rest day, which is not available in this itinerary but if you have time then it is possible to make more extra days at trekking. You have to pay a package for extra days.

During the trek, you will be the best training and experienced guide, who came from the high region of Himalayan. Our guide will carry all necessary paper and essential equipment with a first aid kit. In case, if our clients come to some emergency problems of mountain sickness and accident then we immediately send a rescue helicopter. Any region of the Himalayan treks will demand good health and fitness, so make healthy your body before joining the trip.
